As you may or may not already know, Simply Helen sells merchandise (t-shirts, mugs and much more). This is just a few words to explain why we do so and a little background on how everything works.

Helen Mirren is a vocal and physical supporter of Oxfam, a development, advocacy and relief agency working to put an end to poverty world-wide. This is an issue and cause which is supported by and important to me (your admin) as well. In early 2007, I was struck by an idea. I wanted to find a way to thank Helen (for giving me so much joy having watched her work), I run this very website for this reason, but I still wanted to do something non materialistic to thank her, I wanted to do something symbolic in her honour and the idea of selling t-shirts with Helen related slogans came like a lightning strike to me. After much personal thought, I put the idea to a friend and fellow Helen fan (Liz) who is also a fantastic graphic artist. She then took it upon herself to design the t-shirts. This was when the Simply Helen store was born. We are currently showcasing our second "collection", so why don't you take a look and see if anything catches your eye =)

All profits go to Oxfam and the more we sell the better for the many people who struggle to pull themselves out of poverty. This is a small fundraising initiative, but one I hope you will appreciate and support.
